I’m throwing a book launch party to celebrate the release of my new book Chicago Scavenger and you’re invited! Join me in Chicago on May 21 at Schuba’s Tavern (3159 N. Southport Ave.) from 1-4 p.m.
A Historic Venue
In addition to being a beloved rock club, Schuba’s Tavern is a Chicago landmark! The Schlitz logo on the building signals that it was a former tied house—a pre-Prohibition saloon owned by a brewery that sold beer exclusively from that brewery. I couldn’t imagine a better place to celebrate Chicago’s neighborhood stories and hidden gems!
Custom Poetry
After writing a book full of rhyming riddles, I thought attendees might like to take home a rhyme of their own. Typewriter Tarts will be on hand creating custom poems for attendees!
Fabulous Prizes
The book will be available for purchase at the event, and I’ll be signing copies. You’ll receive a ticket for every book purchased at the party (and if you show a receipt of purchase elsewhere) to be entered into the Chicago Scavenger raffle. We’ve assembled a collection of AMAZING prizes from places featured in the book! Think swag and gift cards from your favorite Chicago small businesses and restaurants!
Let’s Celebrate
Come and say hi, get a book signed (these will make great gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and new grads), and celebrate the neighborhoods that make Chicago so wonderful. The event is free to attend and you can RSVP on Facebook.
