Chicago is still in a summer heat wave, but I’m dreaming of fall vibes for October.
Cemeteries are spooky to some and admired by others for their sense of art, history, and nature. This month’s calendar features a gorgeous chapel tucked in a mausoleum at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood. John G. Shedd Memorial Chapel is the final resting place of the founder of Shedd Aquarium and the former Marshall Field president. Shedd’s chapel offers a peaceful space to all who visit, filled with stunning craftsmanship like this stained-glass window by Tiffany. Read my article about Shedd Memorial Chapel here.
