Secret Chicago Printable Calendar – November 2025

Sculpture of a family in a park with orange fall leaves and blue sky

After a long summer, Chicago is enjoying a colorful fall. Here’s hoping the foliage sticks around!

I recently admired the fall colors at Steelworkers Park in the South Chicago neighborhood. The 16-acre park on the shore of Lake Michigan is an incredible adaptation of a former US Steel industrial site. As someone with steelworkers in the family, I love that the park honors the history of the site and the people who worked there.

This month’s calendar features the “Tribute to the Past” sculpture by artist Roman Villareal who grew up in the community. It’s moving to think of the generations of Chicagoans whose lives revolved around the work at this site.
