All of a sudden, the trees are green in Chicago and tulips are lining the streets. Spring has arrived in the Windy City!
After a long winter, the city feels full of possibility. I’ve started planning all of my favorite warm weather activities, festivals, and events to enjoy across Chicago. This month’s calendar features a spring tradition that originates in Europe. In many communities, decorating and dancing around a maypole is a way to welcome the new season. Lincoln Square features a maypole in honor of the neighborhood’s German heritage, and May is the perfect time to admire it.
What are your spring traditions?
