Secret Chicago Printable Calendar – July 2024

Lincoln Park Pavilion by Studio Gang

There are so many things to love about summer in Chicago, and one of the best is enjoying the city’s outdoor spaces.

This month, we’re highlighting one of the best views of Chicago’s skyline. If you’ve ever wandered through Lincoln Park Zoo you may have stumbled on this curious arched structure along the South Pond. Officially named, the Peoples Gas Education Pavilion, most Chicagoans refer to it as the “honeycomb” based on the design of its domes. The pavilion designed by Studio Gang is a favorite for photographers and anyone admiring the Nature Boardwalk ecosystem in the park.

Does the pavilion remind you of a honeycomb, turtle shell, or something else?
