Congrats everyone, we survived the longest January. I can’t help but be hopeful for the year ahead.
This month’s calendar features a photo made for February, a mosiac called “Chicago’s Cupid” by artist Jim Bachor. I featured Jim’s art, which he installs in potholes around town, in a previous article and in my book Secret Chicago: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure. Tied houses are found all over the city in Chicago’s neighborhoods. If you’re looking for an outdoor activity, try spotting his pothole art all over Chicago’s streets… as soon as the snow melts.
Have a lovely month!
