The Kills will redistribute their dark, gritty garage blues sound across a wintry North American landscape this month, closing out 2013 with a brief five-city tour. It’s been over two years since Alison Mosshart (“VV”) and Jamie Hince (“Hotel”) unleashed their last full-length album, the acclaimed lo-fi opus Blood Pressures. While the longtime artistic collaborators confirm they are working on a follow-up, even they aren’t sure what kind of sound to expect.
Chicago INNERVIEW spoke with Mosshart days before recording began to discuss their upcoming album and the projects that have kept her busy in the meantime.
