If you’ve never seen opera, this weekend is a great opportunity to get your feet wet. Chicago Opera Theater will perform Ricky Ian Gordon’s Orpheus & Euridice at Eckhart Park Pool at 7:30 p.m. on November 8 and 10. Free tickets are available at 6 p.m. each night on a first come first serve basis.
Eckhart Park Pool’s 140,000 gallons of water will be transformed into the underworld of the River Styx in the retelling of this ancient myth. Presented in partnership with the Chicago Park District’s Classics in the Parks Series, dive into this unique cultural opportunity for exploring themes of lost love and the power of music.
