Pitchfork Music Festival brings 60,000 music fans back to Chicago’s Union Park this weekend from July 21-23. Running since 2006, it’s a highlight of Chicago’s summer fest season. The lineup features rising talent as well as indie rock luminaries like headliners The Smile, Bon Iver, and Big Thief.
There’s plenty to look forward to on the bill, including several Chicago-area artists. We reached out to the local musicians taking the Pitchfork stage for their recommendations. These Chicago artists shared what acts they want to catch at Pitchfork this weekend.
Sen Morimoto

Ariel Zetina
“I’m really excited for so many people. The first that come to mind are Jockstrap, Julia Jacklin, Koffee, and Grace Ives. There are literally so many artists I’m excited to see. I really love how all of these artists mix vocals, acoustics, and electronics that feels organic but also very 2023.”
